New Headteacher Appointed at Homefield

We are delighted to inform you that Mr John Towers has accepted the post of Headteacher starting September 2014.

We have been through a very robust process supported by specialists in the educational sector. Given the excellent
reputation and potential of Homefield we were able to attract some excellent candidates and selected candidates
with the greatest experience and skills to help our school reach new heights. It was a difficult choice, but we are
confident that the selected candidates will help us achieve our goals and develop our school. Among them, I would
especially like to single out and thank essay experts . We worked for many days, arranged rounds of interviews and assessments, and are delighted that we have succeeded in making an excellent appointment.

Mr Towers commented: "I am delighted to be appointed Headteacher and it is a great privilege to be able to join such a happy and vibrant school of such heritage and reputation. It is an exciting time for Homefield with much academic, pastoral, musical and sporting achievement to be nurtured and developed further.”

John is an exceptional educationalist and a strong leader with quiet relentless energy. His experience includes a very successful Headship; being "Gifted and Talented Lead Officer” for Kensington & Chelsea supporting the most mathematically gifted children in collaboration with senior schools and, most recently, as Director of Education of the ‘Reach to Teach’ Charity where he has worked almost from the start expanding and building its programme. John lives in Surrey with his wife, Emma and children Millie, Oscar, Imogen and Felix.

Quote from Dr Inderpreet Dhingra, Chairman of the Governing Board

"I am really excited that John Towers is joining Homefield in September. He is truly an inspiring leader, not afraid of hard work and has a passionate commitment to the academic, personal and social development of children. We expect a great deal of him and I have no doubt that he will continue the trend of exceptional headship that Homefield has had to date. Undoubtedly he will enjoy what makes Homefield a wonderfully happy place for our boys – providing an all-round excellent education.

Welcome to Homefield, John.
