About Homefield School
"I don’t believe we could have found a better school in the country to bring out the best in both our sons”.

Homefield is a Preparatory school for 400 boys aged 3 to 13, and 50 staff, housed in an extensive purpose-built complex complemented by a spacious state of the art Early Years’ Unit and a 2-acre adjoining playing field with all the necessary facilities for study and recreation. At our school, we offer a wide range of academic interactive programs that help develop and improve students' skills in various areas such as mathematics, science, history, languages and many others. Our teachers and employees have many years of experience working with children, high elite writing skills and always try to ensure the maximum comfort of students.

Rated by The Sunday Times Parent Power as "Amongst the best performing schools in Greater London”, Homefield School has cemented its powerful academic reputation by securing a 79% pass rate at level 5 in Key Stage 2 examinations this year, and has continued to achieve a 100% pass rate at Common Entrance to 46 senior schools over the last 10 years. 80% of all grades at Common Entrance were either A*, A or B in 201
2-2013. In the same year 30 boys in the upper 6th form once again safely qualified for 16 senior schools via Common Entrance, and boys and staff have together amassed a record tally of 32 awards which brings our scholarship total for the last 3 years to 85. Of these 32 awards, 13 were awarded for academic merit, 7 for music, 3 for sport, 2 for Art and DT and 7 for all-round achievement, exemplifying the fact that Homefield School offers its pupils a wide range of opportunities, in an atmosphere of challenge without pressure.

In the last couple of year, the first XV also holds the title of National Preparatory Schools' Rugby Champions, whilst the 1st XI soccer team reached the final of the Surrey Preparatory Schools' Soccer Championship. The chess teams won the U9 English Primary Schools' Chess Association title and were placed equal first, with Wellington College, in the British Land UK Chess Challenge. In the music department, the pupils have for the 4th time qualified for the final of the Music Festival for Youth national competition.

The school is renowned for its intimacy and family atmosphere, small class sizes, the fulfilment of individual potential, the openness of communication, the provision of specialist teaching at the earliest appropriate opportunity (French, ICT, Music and Sport from the Foundation stage), its commitment to best practice and its all round academic, musical, dramatic, sporting and artistic achievements. The 2013 ISI inspection report posted on the school’s website, states that "Pupils make a strong contribution to their learning through their highly motivated and enthusiastic attitudes... The quality of pupils' achievement and learning is excellent".

The school has county or national representatives in table-tennis, squash, tennis, athletics, swimming, soccer, rugby, cricket and chess.

Awareness of others is encouraged and the pupils are involved in many fund-raising charity events, raising over £8,000 last year.

Learning support is available for children with special needs. A wide range of academic opportunities is planned to extend gifted pupils such as  Primary and Junior Maths Challenges, Townsend Warner Prize and the French National Poetry Competition.

We offer academic, sporting, art and music scholarships as well as the occasional bursaries.

Daily minibuses run to and from Wimbledon and other areas.

A breakfast and after school club is now available.
